And not only her, of course xP
I'm getting pretty impressed though.
By Ares Marketing.
Of which we went for an interview for this afternoon thanks to Jialin.
And anyway, this is their FB page.
Don't think they have an actual domain yet but I think that's because they're relatively new.
So, I was doing my usual stalker stuff again and went on FB to search for the company since Jia'd mentioned seeing it last night.
(And no, it did not have 1000+ fans as she claimed or have I heard wrongly? xD)
And I tried to dig up a bit more information through google too.
It appears to me that Ares Marketing was founded by this guy Jason, whom we met in the afternoon, and 3/4 of his friends last year.
I may be wrong but well this is how it looks to me.
So this company's about marketing.
Like,duh.
And lots of events planning stuff.
Which is why I dedicated this post to Joan.
You'll love it, right?
Please do. xD
Although currently there's only openings for 2/3 positions (I suppose) I think you should keep a lookout for the FB page for more events stuff.
Seems trustworthy enough to me and like, not bad?
Yes, I meant the pay x)
Despite being late for more than half an hour, *coughs* I had to mention that hahaha, I guess Jason left quite a good impression.
Okay, kinda a good impression.
His confident composure really reminded me of an SMU student, like erm, don't know Jia or Sihui had said.
Though yeah I'm kinda skeptical about his age hmm.
Okay, not the point.
To sum up, I quite hope that we can get the job.
Though there may be some issues in carrying it out, I guess.
Well, let's see then.
And oh, I shall merge my other job-related stuff that happened today here so I don't end up making too many posts.
So, we went to BGC bright early in the morning.
Reached there maybe, less than 10mins late?
But still had to wait in the end lah.
Glad she made us come that early though, because the crowd obviously thickened while we were inside the room.
The interview was, yeah, not really like an interview.
More of her telling us the events and not about us.
I liked her though, always seem so.. chirpy?
Great for her job I guess, that enthusiastic character.
Then had to rush to Raffles City and City Hall for the interviews by the company itself.
Which is really more of filling up the form.
So we're kinda confirmed to have steady income from 8th May to 4th June.
Yay?
And I secretly hope to get more weekends because they pay higher.
Why not, seriously?
Because all I do is slack at home anyway ._.
Short break for lunch afterwards.
Yum, yum, caramel frappe.
Went straight to Kallang to meet the Ares guy and he was, as mentioned above, late.
Ended up about 10mins late to the movie.
Sorry, Joan!
And shit I just remembered I forgot to pay you back ughhh.
Oops?
I'll, erm, drop by or something I guess.
Speaking of which, I got reminded about the lady we talked to at NTUC.
At that bizarre yet totally cool shop.
And how Joan re-emphasized on the question: What do you want to do in the future?
Or something like that.
(Sometimes my poor memory really gets on my nerves gahh.)
Shit, I got distracted and forgot what I wanted to say ._.
Okay, wait, I think I got it.
I was gonna say, we shouldn't be afraid to dream big.
Yes, your ambition, may seem far and unreachable at this stage.
But you would never know the outcome until you try to strive for it.
Stretch your hands to reach it.
Above mentioned Ares guy graduated from SMU.
He was from a neighbourhood secondary school, lower-than-average (people say one hor :P) junior college.
But he did it.
I wouldn't know if it was his dream to become someone like him today.
But he seemed, from our brief meeting and conversation, to be enjoying what he was doing.
So what, if your grades are bad?
So what, if you can't get in the prestigious university you've always wanted to get in?
They're right.
Go for the course.
Although it may be too late to say this.
But I've always believed in doing what you like.
What you have passion in.
(And I guess that's what got me working at Popular for 4 months x.x)
Anyway, main point is, remember your dreams and always hope.
Okay, end of random pep talk.
*drifts away*
And oh, I missed out the interview I didn't go.
I feel damn bad :/
Because it seems like a great place, wouldn't have minded going there if there wasn't this expo thing.
Although I guess the trip to-and-fro would take about the same time as it did when I went to BBC.
The place's name is Little Cravings.
Hope there'll be a chance to eat there someday :)
