Firstly, I wanna express my thanks to the HSS for not having picked me into the fac camp because I totally would have missed out on all this fun!
Throughout the camp of course there were bound to be some dull moments but the interesting parts definitely surpassed the boring times when I felt like screaming I WANNA GO HOME!
This is gonna be real hard to blog about especially since I'm typing this 2 days after camp.
When almost all the excitement has faded and yeap, there goes my memory as well.
So yeah, there's gonna be some epic moments when I start getting all the details amongst the vague description!
DAY 1
Hmm in one sentence, day 1 was extremely boring.
But of course, true, they can't exactly bombard us right from the starting and it's too early to frighten us off ;)
Started with the standard icebreakers within our own OG.
Which was made up of 4 girls and 4 guys, freshies, 1 girl and 1 guy, GLs, and 1 girl and 2 guys, SAs, for our group.
INSPIRE! :D
After few rounds it was icebreakers amongst the whole camp.
Chaos!
Lunch then check in hall and first talk by the psychology professors.
*yawns* oops.
Design of flanners was mostly by the ADM guy and the other girls as I well, slacked around.
Afterwards was internal Amazing Race where we ran around campus heheh.
Memories of the gross oil and soy sauce ughh.
I seriously need to go ask what type of oil that is.
Avoid it at all cost.
Dinner was rather late and bathed after that although we kinda regretted.
Because late night activity was mass dance!
We were kind enough to swap partners after realising the prominent height difference resulted from our random draws.
Accidentally in Love~
Steps were okay, I liked it though really, mind goes blank after turning.
And turning.
Yaks.
The night is still young ^^
Following was hours of awkward silences and random bursts of insanity laughter in a particular hostel room.
HTHT conversation shall not be revealed here to protect our privacy!
Ended up sleeping at 3am after packing up a bit.
That was an early night.
DAY 2
Woke up bleary-eyed but kinda awake because it was freezing like hell.
That's why you don't really actually need air-con in your room.
We had it on at like, 25 degrees!
Breakfast sucked then it was talks, I believe.
Painting of Nan Tah was a total success ^^
We had the most amazing colours ever.
Not to mention how we accounted for bilingual signboards.
Sooooo considerate (Y)
Then it was the start of the most outrageous day ever..
.. at SENTOSA!
Played many games there, Captain Chicken being the top most unforgettable game ever.
Poor chick.
Last activity of our night at Sentosa was the infamous Dog & Bone!
Crazy sand-digging in the dark.
Dinner accompanied by the sea breeze while randomly talking about horror movies.
Why did we even get started on that topic?
Night activities got canceled but sometimes it's more fun in small groups.
DAY 3
Chalet!
NSRCC really not bad leh I think!
Anyway this day is quite boring to me.
BBQ day.
Bidding make me feel like sleeping already.
That's the lighting's fault though.
But their list really make until very erm, frustrating uh.
Split until like that!
Afternoon at the chalet was spent vigorously spamming games haha.
And I think maybe we did some mass dance too.
I can't really remember.
But U&I is so cute right~
Special mention to our sparkling juice.
Which was made of mango syrup and special ingredient hahaha.
I don't like mango but it's really nice :D
Got stingray and sotong which I was really happy to see because I didn't really eat much for BBQ.
Mainly just, y'know, standing around ._.
But the stingray turned up uncooked after microwaving and we didn't get to eat it.
Because we wanted to soak feet at pool.
But apparently, that was wishful thinking because pool closed at 9pm.
Haiz.
Went to beach instead.
At 11pm.
Dark.
Breeze.
Cockroaches and ants.
Hehe.
At night was mass game of Circle of Death after the GLs came back from briefing or something.
Crazy drinking of tap water.
We're so freaking healthy.
Went to bed at 3am.
Lucky I volunteered the floor.
I don't want to be the one rolling down from the bed.
DAY 4
Amazing Race.
Or Running Minds.
Morning had a brief session of tearing name tags.
Quite retarded actually haha.
Too short already.
But crazy enough.
Then was a day of fulfilling weird subtasks and going to stations.
Lunch at Aston's.
Bad chaotah fish.
Most epic subtask was having a guy go ask for his cup size.
Not the guy.
The salesperson.
Because she added her own lines!
xD
Super cooperative~
Cute max.
Evening didn't get to play another round of ripping name tags 'cause we didn't manage to solve the quote.
Not fair.
Ours harder.
Chill at one corner.
On the grass.
Searching for SP.
SP night.
Then was the most interesting midnight ever.
Sharing of stories.
Laughter.
HTHT.
And writing to each of our group mates.
Being braindead but still have to come up with something.
The last night spent together.
Most went to sleep at random places at 5+am.
Wanted to go watch sunrise.
Went to bathe at 6am (hello, some didn't even bathe okay).
Come out at 645, lights off.
What the shit.
Appeared only one had the determination to stay up.
But the weather spoiled everything.
Haiz.
Didn't sleep either.
Stone at the dining table for two hours.
Occasionally trying to sleep in the hard chair.
Even had to get up and off the GL phone alarm halfway through because we could sleep in.
Oh that's day 5 already.
DAY 5
Woke everyone up when main comm came over and told us to get ready in 45mins.
Had ample time to pack bag few hours ago.
Went to the open area and took lotsa photos.
Brunched.
Mass Dance.
Cheers.
Dunking.
Initiation.
Pledges.
Perfect ending to Euphoria.
Shuttle bus-ed back to Tanah Merah and bubble tea-ed at Tampines interchange while talking with Joan :P
The excitement is still there.
Barely enough for me to make it back home though.
From then on it's sleep!
Fun games I caught on in the camp - 猫抓老鼠,洗牛奶 (crazy game!),Circle of Death (drinking game) and another card game which name I don't know.
And yes, Daiso poker cards are damn cute!
And yes I just realised they held our flanner the other side around.
Was that on purpose?
Hmm.. :/
I am not done with you.
Bear with me as I rack my brains out to provide the juiciest details of the camp.
For the time being, I need to replenish my sleep like forever!
DONE.
Like, finally.
And I realised I let to type short sentences when I'm extremely tired.
Like now.
7+hrs of sleep left.
2am, 23/07.
